Welcome to Burge! These acres have experienced Native American settlement, nineteenth century agrarian life, civil war strife and emancipation, reconstruction, tenant farming, dairy, crop, and cattle operations. Burge is currently a farm, entertainment facility, and private hunting preserve with nearly 1,000 aces of rolling fields and woodlands. Since 1809, Burge has been owned by eight successive generations of the same family.
