Gus’s Log Cabin

We built Gus in 1992. Or specifically we bought a log cabin from Gene Marks in Mansfield and moved it intact to Burge. That was the easy part. About $50,000 later we had a nice cabin! The last occupant had been a man by the name of Gus Belcher. Earlier occupants were relatives of Neely Pratt and her dad, Mac, who both work at Burge now. There are some interesting stories about some of the “permanent” inhabitants of Gus’s that make good telling around a camp fire just before putting wide eyed kids to bed – but probably not sleep!
